Hi everyone!
I'm stuck with a bit of a problem here. I know that in InDesign that'd be easier, but my company do not have the license for it. So, here is the issue:
We work with project documentation that is produced in Illustrator and, everytime someone makes a change that either adds or subtracts a page from the document (or simply rearranges it to another place), all of the other pages that have the number page on its footer, have to be re-written, one by one, which is really time consuming.
So my question would be if there's any way I can create a dynamic numbering object on Illustrator that is in sync with the artboard number, meaning that if I move any page around or have to add or subtract, any other prior or subsquent page would have its number updated.
Maybe a script would be the solution, but since I do not know how to write code, that'd not be a viable option for me (alone).
I'd appreciate any help!
Thanks in advance,
Heron
