Edge line to a curve

Hello ,

I have a circle and a line that needs to overlap the circle perfectly.  At the moment I have this:

I want to butt up the line perfectly to the edge.

How do I do this?

I'm quite new to illustrator, so if I'm using the completely wrong technique, please let me know.
