Hello everyone,

I need help inverting colors in Illustrator. I don't however need help going to edit>edit colors>invert. I need something smarter.     I designed this very cool logo that has a very painterly look to it. It uses the brush in illustrator that has transparencies to it and over laps a bunch of strokes to blend its colors. Problem is I need to invert it. If I go to edit>edit colors>invert i dont get the invert effect because of the transparencies. I guess I do get the inverted effect of the transparaences but I need the inverted look of if they we the exact colors. Almost like there needs to be something solid to it to work right. If you take a jpeg and invert it, it looks awesome. not so much with the transparencies. Now I tried to flatten the transperences which rasterizes them I guess. this gave me the colors I needed but gave me a bunch of weird lines. I would like to avoid rasterizing and weird lines.    Is there a way to over lay an object over it and set some sort of layer effect to achieve this? Or a better way? I am using CS6. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: but I want to control which colors get inverted. I dont want to invert them all.
