Pointed Text Without Envelope

Hey everyone,

I've been looking for a solution to this problem for a while, but haven't found anything yet; so I figured I'd open it to you all to see if you have anything that can help.

I'm trying to figure out a way to make the baseline of a line of text come to a point (rather than rounding off like an "arc lower") without using an envelope, in CS6.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about:
