Hey everybody,
my Illustrator CC has become pretty much unusable. It crashes when I try to open an AI file from the Finder or from the Recent Files Menu and when I try to create a new document and change the Profile to something other than Print. I haven’t been able to do any work, so I can’t say if it also crashes during any other processes. When I reset the preferences, it works, but when I restart it, it crashes again.
What seems strange to me is that Illustrator had been working fine before. But I recently had some problems getting a plugin to work, and I also did a clean reinstall to see if it would fix that. It didn’t, and now the crashing started. The plugin was LiveSurface Context. Apart from that, I didn’t change anything on my system recently.
Here’s a list of things I tried to do - without any effect:
- Completely uninstalling / cleaning Illustrator and reinstalling (again)
- Emptying Font Caches
- Checking for and removing font files with errors
- Logging out from CreativeCloud and logging back in
There are no plugins installed. The crashlog is up on Pastebin.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, without Illustrator I feel quite limited. Also very sad.
