Illustrator CS6 Crashing without any idea why

Illustrator has crashed twice on me today, for absolutely no discernable reason. Both time it has crashed, I have not been trying to do any kind of complex operation, which only makes it all that much more infuriating, since I don't see it coming and am completely blindsided, losing hours of work.

 

Running on Windows 7, Here's the data I'm able to  pull together:

 

1st Crash:

Please advise. Also, I find it completely unnacceptable that there is neither an Autosave nor any attempt at recovery after a crash.
