Hi I've recently upgraded to Illustrator CS6 and I've run into a frustrating problem wich I don't remember being there in CS5.
When I try to select an anchor point with the direct selection tool and the anchor point is positioned directly behind a guide I can only select the guide. With smart guides turned on, hovering over an anchor point with the direct selection tool should highlight that anchor point and allow you to select it.
The kicker is when I am zoomed to 800% or more, it works, but less than 800% and it doesn't.
Any clues? Is this just a bug or am I missing something?
Another related frustration is that in previous versions when I wanted to cut a path with the scissors tool (and that path was positioned below a guide) all I had to do was select the path and cut it. Now in CS6 even when I have the path selected, the scissors tool will no longer cut the path but will instead cut the guide.
Very annoying
thanks
