One flat press, or Photoshop, then import?

Hey everyone,

I've been doing a lot of website design between Illustrator and Photoshop, and it's come to mind that I might be using Photoshop ahead of time or shouldn't be incorporating it so much. My work flow is simple:

- Design a graphic piece for the site in Illustrator

- Give it an extra punch and shine in Photoshop

- Import the PSD version into the Illustrator mockup of the web page

Problem is, I'm noticing the raster images from Photoshop showing up as kind of blocky (can see the pixelated edges) even if they haven't been resized dramatically. It doesn't look awesome, and I'm wondering at this point if I should just put all my Illustrator graphics into the web page mockup, then export it as one big image for HTML/CSS to handle later. I'll lose the power to put gloss on individual pieces in PS, but it would flatten everything into pixels at once when I'm ready to call it done.

Thoughts?
