Need help on resizing boxes, objects with shear angles

Is it possible in a simpler way than constantly haveing to create a new box with input of exact dimensions and then having to enter in the shear angle over and over again every single time?

When the width changes it alters the skew angle too.

Say I have a box that is 5 in x 1 in and I add a skew or shear angle of 8.3º to it but then need that box I need that same box to instead be only 4 in x 1 in and still retain an 8.3º angle what is the best method?

As of now I either have to do what's mentioned in my first sentence or do something like draw a new box over the existing angled box, precisely measure 1 in inside of the skewed box's given side and perform Pathfinder > Divide, etc.

It works but honestly, for a program like Illustrator this seems like something that should be (and probably is) extremely routine and simple to perform.

I'll include a diagram to visually explain the issue.

Thanks,
