Resize Image

So I'm completely confised now, I have an AI document with these lovely layers -

It says they are 30px x 30px, but when I export to a PSD they are 256px x 256px.

If I save for a web and devices the images are 30px x 30px but of course I lose all the quality how can I re-size them so when they are exported to a PSD they actually are 32px I can't tranform or scale then to 32px because it says it already is!!
