Illustrator display issues on Windows 10

we keep having an issue with displaying graphics properly (see below);

Also when we click an option no dialog box appears.

We thought this had been a graphics card problem so updated it to a AMD FirePro W2100 though still having the same issue. So we think it may be a software problem.

Please note the drivers are all up to date for new graphics card and no updates are required in Cloud.
