I am trying to find a way to customize the values in the Stroke Width Dropdown in Illustrator.
For my kind of work, I simply need more decimal point steps. I am looking for a way to add my custom values to that list.
Is there some kind of xml or json-file that I can edit? Anybody know anything about this? Another workaround maybe?

When I try to package a file in Illustrator I keep getting an error message.
"Could not complete Package."
I have upgraded to the latest version of CC (17.1) but still get the error. Apparently I am the only one in the world with this problem because I can't find that error message anywhere online.

Help. I need someone to call me and help me with this problem. Illustrator CS4 that says "Error loading plug ins PhotoshopExport.aip and PhotoshopImport.aip What do I do and still protect the files I have in Adobe. I do not want to loose anything.

I am trying to adjust the keyboard increment to 1 px instead of 1 pt in the general preferences. When i type 1 px it changes back to 1 pt. Can anyone help me figure out why? I am using Illustrator CC 2015.

I recently thought it would be a good idea to purchase my own Motocross templates to design my own graphics and being a photographer I've become somewhat a part time designer so thought it would be a piece of cake but I can't seem to get my head around this problem.
I've done all my design work and now want to select the template outlines and clear/delete anything outside the bleed/cut lines, I've read about 1000 different ways to do this and have tried all of them so any help would be great.
Some of the things I have tried are
'Create clipping mask'
'Rasterising the file then trying a Clipping Mask'
'Using Compound Path'
'Using Pathfinder Crop,Minus,Outline'
Have also tried various layer options.
'Dragged all the individual layers out of groups so there was no groups'
Tried it with the groups intact'
All these have been tried with the group containing the outline (cut lines) at the top of the layers, I'm not sure if that there is the problem that the outlines I'm trying to use are a group and not a single layer
I tried to make a new installation, but everytime before adobe illustrator tries to start i get the message " error loading plug-ins, photoshopexport.aip and photoshopimport.aip".
I´ve tried to delete the preferences, but nothing helps.
my macbookpro i´m using is 011, 2,2 ghz intel core i7, 8ggb ddr3, amd radeon hd 6750 1024mb.
what can i do?

New subscriber. All of a sudden today Illustrator crashes while I'l working in it. Using drawing tools, selecting, moving just all of a sudden "unexpectedlly quits"
Please advise I got a brand new iMac and subsribed the other day hopeing to finally avoid crashes. My files are large color intensive but still shouldn't be a problem what I'm doing.

I'm having trouble with my brushes in CC. Every time I create a new pattern or art brush, or load an old brush into CC it works fine - but when I save, close and re-open the file, all my paths using brushes become outlined. Never had this issue with any of the CS versions. Is there an option that I can turn off somehow?

How can I change line thickness on the Rectangle tool in Adobe Illustrator 12?
Hello all,
I started up Illustrator this afternoon to do some line drawings. I selected the line segment tool and set the stroke width at .25 pt. I made some lines at random angles and everything was fine. When I tried to make lines at 0 or 90 degrees, the stroke width changed to 1 pt all by itself. If I select the line and try to set the stroke width to .25, it jumps back to 1 pt. This is driving me crazy. I must have done something, but I can't figure out what. I know I'm going to have a "Doh" moment when I realize the problem. Can anyone figure out what's going on here?
I'm using CS6 on a mac Mini running OS X 10.10.5

I feel like this ought to be a simple process but I can't figure out how to crop an image in Illustrator. Do I need to crop the image in a different program and then bring it into Illustrator, or is there a way to crop in Illustrator? Sorry if this is a dumb question with a really obvious answer I am missing.
We did not create this logo, but this appears to be an art brush stroke, and not a variable width or stroke profile.

At 75% scale the line over his shoulder is smaller (I zoomed in to make my next 2 screenshots)
At 33% scale
I will probably expand appearance and make a new master logo, but wanted to see if anyone else has run into this or has any other suggestions. Will file a bug after I get some forum feedback, as this can cause some major cost in the print world.

Using Illustrator CC on a fresh install of Mac 10.11, when I try to apply an effect (specifically outer glow) if I select preview the program crashes, if I try to apply it also crashes.
I have tried turning off GPU preview but this made no difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated as it's stopping me from opening my previous files as well (they just crash on open).
I am not able to save my files and illustrator gives the message 'An Unknown Error has occured'. In a previous discussion transparency is called out as the culprit however I am not using transparency in my document and have checked all the items. I have also tried copying the work into a new ai file however this also will not save. This is has happened to me about 5 times since I updated to CS6. Anyone else having this issue?
Update - I just closed Illustrator and lost all my work and then an Adobe update window showed up asking me to update Adobe Air. I recall an Adobe Update window appearing once before when I had problems solving. Could the Adobe update window interfere or prevent me from saving my documents?
I can't seem to figure out why this box is translucent. Everything about it says it should be 100% opaque. What am I missing?
I have a .Ai file that I'd like to edit but I don't have Illustrator, what could I save the .Ai file as so I can edit it in Inkscape?
