Before I update my MacBook to OS X El Capitan, I want to make sure I'll be able to use Photoshop and Illustrator (CS6 - updating to CC is currently not an option for me). Thanks!

Issue with pop up that leaves a drop shadow on everything
This issue has been brought up at least once before (see the forum post below)
Pop up illustrator windows leaving drop shadows on screen even outside of illustrator
I was wondering if there was ever a solution for this. Staff member rbhunwal had stated that the Illustrator team was looking into it, but no update was ever given.
It's a frustrating topic for the 6 people in our company that use Adobe CC services.

Why are strange lines appearing on the monitor when using Illustrator CC 2015?
Every time I open Illustrator CC 2015, strange box-like lines appear on the screen. I have unchecked GPU in preferences and it hasn't corrected the issue. Even after closing the program, the lines remain on the screen and are very distracting. I've had to reboot to get rid of them.

How do you curve or arc a banner from the regal vector pack along a circular path?
I'm currently designing a logo for a school project, however I am not well educated with Adobe Illustrator. Part of my logo includes a circular path and I have text at the top. I would like to make a banner to go behind that text and have the same curve, but alas, I cannot figure it out. I used the flat banner from the Regal Vector Pack if that information is useful. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Why can't I expand a path with round corners?
I'm having a problem with the rounded corners effect. I have a simple closed shape with a stroke, no fill, and the rounded corners effect applied. All I want to do is to expand it like a normal stroke, but when I go to either Object > Expand or Object > Path > Outline Stroke, the rounded corners become distorted and no longer round. How can I expand the stroke while preserving the round corners?

ILLUSTRATOR CS3 WON'T SAVE IN WINDOWS 10
Hi,
I just upgraded to Windows 10, and after using Illustrator cs3 for the first time discovered that I am unable to save or export files of any kind.
Everything else is working normally, I created a file, went to save, and received an "unexpected error."
I know that there are issues with older programs migrating to the new Windows, but if anyone has any insight on anything that may work around this strangeness,
PLEASE help a fella out!

Illustrator CS6 - Lagging - extremely slow!!
Has any one experinced CS6 Illustrator lagging and responding extremely slow. For example if I try to move a vector graphic it takes a few seconds before it re-freshes and updates. That goes for about everything re-sizing, moving, editing.....
I know it's not my computer. CS5 worked great. My computer is a Mac Pro running with 16GB of ram and solid state drives.
Any one have any suggestions??

Why does the image disappear when making a clipping mask?
Sometimes when I make clipping masks (use images to fill outlines in illustrator), The image image disappears. For example, I use frequently like to fill my text with images. I will create text, make the text into outlines, place the image behind the outlined text, select all, then make into clipping mask.
Instead of the image filling the outline (like it is supposed to do), the image disappears and leaves me with empty outlines. I understand you cannot create a clipping mask with grouped text. So, to solve this issue I ungroup the text and unite the letters using the pathfinder tool.
Still, I am unable to fill the outlines using clipping mask. Please help!

Font Preview
The scroll font menu no longer works to preview fonts and the tech guy said CC no longer does that. What stupid nonsense is this? He told me to use the preview from the font list. That is great if I wanted to see what the word "sample" looks like. Adobe is getting suckier all the time and they are charging monthly for this crap! I used to type a word and keep it highlighted while scrolling down the font list and I could preview the actual word I wanted to use in different fonts. I can also do a design on Monday and open my file on Tuesday and it will tell me I am missing fonts. How is this possible since I used installed fonts?

Every time Illustrator updates it changes my "open recent" files preferences back to 5...It takes me nearly a day to figure out how to get it back to Max Files 25. I can't remeber where to go to change that number. Why does "updating" have to change that

Crash when opening files
Illustrator cc crashes when either i open up a new file, or load a previously worked on one. When i start or load a file, my side tool bars don't load and illustrator freezes and crashes on me. This started when i first downloaded version 19 and nobody else seems to be having this problem. i have tried updateing wacom drivers and setting default printer. Those too were the closes solutions i could find.

Downsaving, Backsaving, Legacy save CS6 to CS5 batch processing
Hi,
I have hundreds of files that I need to back save from CS6 to CS5 using the Batch process in the Actions palette. Previous attempts using Actions have resulted in the file not being backsaved, but instead just being saved again in CS6 format.
Does anybody know how to back save to CS5 in batch processing?

Not able to adjust threshold in live trace
I am using Illustrator cs5 and am trying to trace some calligraphy and hand lettering for a wedding program. I've never had an issue with threshold but today, the threshold adjustment is stuck on 128 and will not let me adjust it. I even created a new preset with the correct threshold but when I use that new preset it pushes the threshold back to 128 and won't let me adjust it. Any ideas?

I Had illustrator Cs6 installed on my mac for more than 3 y.
when i updated to Elcapital it shows it as a 1 month trial version and just got deactivated.
i have tried to find the activation code but it is impossible sine i got it from University along with ~40 other users.
Has anyone faced and solved similar issues ?

Is there anyway to do something similar to triangle in/stroke path with the pen tool?
How would you make something like this with the pen tool? In Inkscape you could do 'triangle in/triangle out' and in photoshop it's called 'Stroke Path'.
I was wondering how you would do the equivalent in Illustrator.

Why is the entire shape showing when I drag a clipping mask?
Hi,
Every time I drag a clipping mask in Illustrator CS6, the entire original, un-clipped shape shows, so I can't see where I'm dragging it if I'm trying to put it somewhere specific. This has to be a view setting I accidentally clicked, right? It didn't used to do this when I dragged clipping masks.
