OK so when did it become cool to begin a forum post with Ok so? I don’t remember ever hearing these words in a lead-off position before.
I thought you use Ok to agree with something. Or approve something. Or acquiescence. Or just shift gears. But for it to have any meaning, don't a few posts have to go before it?
And isn't so kind of like therefore? It needs something in front of it to give it a meaning? When did it qualify as a salutation?
Beginning a new thread with OK so is like saying, “Hey, we've been posting about this for awhile. We’re in midstream on the topic here, bud.” And I always think, “Uh, I don’t remember reading anything about this issue. How did we get into mid-sentence?”
OK so am I the only one? For you, OK so is just the new Like or Um? Just get over it? Worry about more important things like the nationwide shortage of life sustaining pharmaceuticals? Or the continuing proliferation of swoosh logos?
